My Role
Lead UX/UI designer, Project Manager, Visual Designer, Motion Designer, Research Conductor
Goal
Let our users really travel to wherever they want, conveniently our safely.

Research
Project background: The Travelers UX design team wants to learn how easy it is for a customer to use the app and ways to make their experience better. We seek to know when and where are the features already existing helpful and if there are any updates that can be added to the application.
Research goals: Identify areas where users might be getting stuck. Determine why users might be be switching to other traveling applications.
Method: Unmoderated usability study
Findings
Customization
There are simply not enough options to customize a trip.
Sacrifice
People feel like they are not really choosing the kind of trip they want.
Accessibility
Travel agents don’t often tend to people with disabilities / are overlooked.

Initial Design Concepts

User Testing
I conducted two rounds of usability studies with a diverse population. The first one helped shape the low-fidelity prototypes into mockups while the second one helped them turn into high-fidelity prototypes.
Findings
Round 1 findings
Users want to book trips quickly
Users need customization
Users want tailor-made packages.
Round 2 findings
The packages don’t show the details at the home screen
Need more options for payment
Bold font is needed in a lot of areas

Final Designs

What I learnt
It takes patience, hard work, and commitment
to be able to work on a UX design project. I am now more confident to start working on my next project and apply all the design principles I learned along the way.
Next Steps
Conduct another round of usability studies to validate whether the pain points users experienced have been effectively addressed.
Conduct more user research to determine any new areas of need.
